GUAVA

GUAVA is a short film showcased at the Reframe Residency Exhibition in collaboration with Apple and curated by Misan Harriman. GUAVA poses questions about colonialism and how it affects our psyche in the modern world. In landscapes that weren’t built with us in mind. Systems that were built to oppress us. GUAVA is about being “connected to each other” and disconnected from ourselves at once.  Such astute observations and portrayals of our reality as black people can only come from us! (text by Wura).

Filmed and directed by Khevyn Ibrahim, Charles Mensah, Audrey Damier and Stephen Akinyemi.

 Music by YV Shells.
