Pointe Black, making ballet accessible
For this second series of my project, I wanted to highlight the work of Ruth Essel, principal and founder of @pointe__black . As a European art form, access to ballet is often restricted. Pointe Black breaks these boundaries by giving Black and other non-white people access to ballet and its creative, mental health and physical benefits. It was amazing witnessing Pointe Black's work with these young children and the confidence that they're transmitting to them.
